Hello all. I spent this year’s second part of the family vacation in Austria and this is just a few shots that I took and wanted to share on my site. Vienna is a beautiful city with so much culture and so much history especially when it comes to classical music. I was lucky as I got to explore the Schonnbrunn Palace which was only a stone’s throw away from my hotel, which naturally made it the first attraction we explored.
In the next few days we spent hours walking around the city and taking in the beautiful architecture and ending the trip by attending a Mozart Concert on our last evening at St. Peter’s Church.
Things to do in Vienna
Explore St Stephen’s Cathedral
This was the beautiful St. Stephen’s Cathedral. I always marvel at the history and the beauty of churches and cathedrals in Europe. Always so rich with gold and grey features throughout. The roof is also a spectacular explosion of colors and is covered in glazed tiles.
Walk through the State Rooms in Schönbrunn Palace
Wander the Streets of Vienna
The city is absolutely magnificent, and if you want to take a break from exploring museums and art or concerts then just stroll through the streets and take in the rich architecture of the Austrian capital.
Grab a Coffee and Walk through Belvedere Palace and Museum
Attend an Opera or Concert
You can truly absorb the true Viennese experience by attending one of the many many concerts and operas being held in different Cathedrals and Museums across the city. We attended a Mozart concert in Karlskirche since we were pretty late in deciding that we wanted to attend one and it was a really cool experience. One thing to keep in mind would be to really do your research so that you pick the concert or opera that you will truly immerse yourself in and be able to enjoy!
