I am a total creature of habit when it comes to buying lipsticks…or basically any lip color products (see last post on lipsticks here). Honestly, lipsticks for brown skin that are actually flattering and don’t make me look totally weird are VERY hard to find (at least for me this is the case). I also see tons of girls and even friends who wear lip colors that seemingly to them are ‘different’ or ‘show up more in photographs’ but in reality of the broad daylight do not look flattering at all.
Keeping this in mind, here are a few of my absolute go to lip products that are super brown skin tone friendly and will make you look totally naturally kissed by a pop of color without either a) washing you out or b) neon-y orange or pink that…man…lets face it…makes you look low key ridiculous and your teeth much more yellow than God intended.

This is such a gorgeous and deep pink nude-y shade that doesn’t even feel or look like makeup at all! I got this one originally as a Sephora sample and I have been addicted ever since. Shop it here.
3. MAC Matte Lipstick in Mehr
This is hands down the BEST mac lipstick for brown skin that I know of. It has an ultra rich formula and shows up amazingly evenly on my darker lips. It’s matte finish is also on the natural side so you really cannot go wrong with this on brown skin tones. If I was to only pack one lipstick for a trip, this would be it. Shop it here.
4. Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Rapture
Another super brown girl friendly lipstick by Urban Decay that I have been using since 2017. It just hits different with it’s purple undertones so really looks gorgeous paired with a dark purple outfit. Shop this here.
5. YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in Rose Perfecto
