I recently took a work trip to New York and one of the things on my agenda was to FINALLY visit the Glossier store in SoHo. Of course, Covid managed to take that little joy away as well because it turned out that the store is temporarily closed due to the current restrictions in the city. Though I’ve watched millions of Glossier products reviews, I’ve slacked off in grabbing myself something. I always wanted to be able to take a look at the products in person at least once before I got them and of course, this wasn’t possible since Glossier only has a U.S. store. I came close once again in February 2020 when they opened up a pop up near Covent Garden in London, but the lines outside were ridiculously long and it was freezing cold. Then lockdown happened so of course, it was not meant to be.
This time around though, I was hella determined to try a few of their bits. So I ordered the Glossier Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer to my hotel room. Here’s a little review!
Glossier Skin Tint
The very first Glossier product I tried and absolutely LOVED! I live for minimal makeup, skin tints and BB creams since I am not a foundation type of girl. This tint is actually surprisingly amazing on immediate application. There is zero tugging and pulling of the skin and it’s kind of like a thin layer of moisturizer as its applied on. I used my fingers because typically I use very little product and it’s easier to get an idea of how much I need to use to get the perfect amount going. It’s definitely very very light coverage (I went with the shade G8), and so color matching wasn’t really a concern for me. If you’re looking for a light airbrushed look, this is an excellent product. It really truly does feel like skin, just like it’s advertised! Just make sure to pop that moisturizer and sunscreen underneath. The only drawback is the scent. It has kind of chemical-ish kind of scent but personally, I’m not fussed about it so it’s all good!

Glossier Stretch Concealer
Absolutely loved the stretch concealer. It’s a super light concealer that is totally buildable. From my understanding, you are supposed to pick the same color of concealer as you did for the skin tint, so I went for the shade G8 on this as well. To be honest, I could have gone slightly lighter but this worked well for my under eye. I even used it on blemishes and just around my nose to cover any redness. The result is a truly minimal look that is perfect for your daily wear and early morning zoom call meetings you have 10 seconds to get ready for.

Verdict
I actually really love all the Glossier products. I finally understand the minimal makeup hype, all the Glossier products reviews and cannot believe I didn’t pick these out before because they are absolutely right up my alley.
