If there is one makeup product that no makeup look (see daily product picks here) can be complete without, it is mascara. My first ever mascara was actually also from L’Oreal. You know the one…Voluminous Original in Black which I religiously went through tubes of all throughout high school. So needless to say, since it’s launch in the UK last year, the L’Oréal Paris Paradise Volumizing Mascara officially became my favorite topping the list for the best drugstore mascara.
The Mascara Formula
The biggest issue I find with mascaras from the drug stores is flaking. My God, it is such a peeve of mine but the L’Oreal Paradise Mascara formula is actually incredibly impressive. It packs on a rich coat on each strand of eyelash without weighing them down.
The Mascara Brush
The second trick is in the mascara wand’s brush. I’m also a sucker for a densely packed wavy brush that can achieve a gorgeous voluminous look. You can literally catch every lash…so so SO good. This is one of the main reasons why it’s the best drugstore mascara in my book.
