Liquid eyeshadow has been my best friend for many many years now. In fact I think at the conception of this blog, it was one of the very first things I passionately wrote about. And while I 100% understand and even participate in going totally crazy with the blending of multiple shades and palettes, when I am pressed for time or even just feeling very very lazy before heading out on a date night, liquid eyeshadow has time and again saved the day.
My love for them actually started on the day of my bridal shower a couple of years ago. I was in total panicked and bridezilla mode, running super late for my event almost in tears as I got ready knowing full well I wouldn’t be able to create a pretty makeup look when I was this flustered. By absolute pure luck I had gone and bought these liquid eyeshadows from NYX Cosmetics and decided to take a quick chance and omg…the look came together almost instantly. My hysterics got much better and I was ready in under a grand total of 15 minutes. That day was all it took for my conversion. I was addicted as I wore the liquid shadows all through my post wedding dinners and even on my honeymoon. I never looked back.
KOSAS Liquid Shadows in Globe and Supreme
In the latest Sephora sale, I picked up two shades of the Kosas Liquid Shadows. They are very less buttery and more on the watery side but that makes it quite perfect for even daily use as you can really build up the coverage to however kind of high impact you like. It settles beautifully and instantly so following up with a liner and mascara can be done, just as the packaging says, in 10 seconds. There is barely any transfer once it dries up and the Jojoba Oil acts as a very smooth finish.
The two shades look gorgeous on my brown skin tone, with the shade ‘Globe‘ being a more light and rose gold tinted shimmer. The shade ‘Supreme‘ is more on the warm gold and pigmented side. Having not bought anything from the brand before, I also was happy to note that it maintains the clean beauty standard and a very sleek matte tube design.
Verdict: If you dont own any liquid eyeshadow, these are an excellent opt in!
